For those of you astro-nerds out there, this night is for you. Come out to OSDH and gaze at the stars. Explorium Denton will be providing a telescope so you can feast your eyes on the sky. 10% off the sales all day will be donated to the organization. Bring the kids until 8!
Tuesday November 3
Dan’s Silverleaf – E.C. Jacob and The Green Hour Residency – 8 P.M.
If you need a good reason to get out, check out this FREE show at Dan’s and sip a Lone Star tall boy. Your ears will thank you and so will your wallet.
Wednesday November 4
Andy’s Bar – FREE Karaoke with DJ Time Warp – 10 P.M.
Get those vocal chords warmed up before you come out for this FREE event at Andy’s. DJ Time Warp will be pumping out the tunes while you show off your musical abilities. If you’ve ever been out to one of these karaoke nights, you’ll know the kind of amazing talent Denton has to offer. If you’ve got a little stage fright, come out and watch!
Thursday November 5
Rockin’ Rodeo – Toadies – 8:30 P.M.
Most of us remember the Toadies from the 90s. Well, their new album, Heretics, gives us something a little different to feed on. On this tour, they’re scaling back a bit, taking down the volume and leaving the core of their music center stage. Come out and experience a little nostalgia, then stay for the dance after party at midnight.
Friday November 6
Dan’s Silverleaf – Raised Right Men – 9 P.M.
If you haven’t been to a Raised Right Men show, you’re missing out. You’ll almost always see two-steppin’, hootin’ and hollerin’ and definitely some drinkin’. Their country covers are on-point—if you love old country, you absolutely can’t miss this. Plus, it’s FREE.
Saturday November 7
North Texas State Fairgrounds – Piston and Paint Car Show – 11:30 A.M.
Start your Saturday with the pedal to the metal. Dale & His Lone Stars are bringing their car show tour to Denton and it’s really revving us up. You can come check out all the beauties—all at least 1965 and older— or go to pistonsandpaint.com if you’ve got wheels to register. The event starts with musical entertainment featuring The Paychecks and T.J. Mayes with the show starting at 2:30. $10 to get in, kids under 10 get in free.
The New Diamond T Arena – Vintage Variety Market “Tinsel Time” Holiday Market – 9 A.M.
Christmas is just around the corner and here’s a great way to start checking off some of that list. Shop vintage inspired wares, from home décor to apparel and jewelry. While you shop, peruse the beer and wine tasting garden and make the shopping experience a little better. Entrance is only $5 and if you come early you can avoid all the crazy shoppers. Live music will be later, so after 5 cover is $10. Kids get in free!
Velo Republic Bicycle Co. & Service Station – Super Spectacular Magical Awesome Sale – 10 A.M.
As the name implies, this is their biggest sale of the year. They’ll be discounting their 2015 bikes in order to make room for a huge stock of 2016s they just got in. Need accessories? They’ll have some sales on those, too. Nice Up Crew will be spinning records while you stock up on amazeballs deals. A few names they’ll have include Salsa Cycles, Cannondale, Felt, and GT. 219 Fort Worth Dr.
RGRS – NOTS – 9 P.M.
Hailing from Memphis, this all-girl rock group is going to jam the roof off Rubber Gloves tonight. Expect the unexpected with their music, with riveting synths and unique vocals. The performance itself is going to be quite the show, worth the $10 cover for sure. Opening acts Bad Beats and Bitch Teeth.
Sunday November 8
Oak Street Drafthouse – Pedal & Pour Pub Crawl – 1 P.M.
Make this a #SundayFunday with a pub crawl, benefiting Cloud 9 Charities. For $25 you can get a special t-shirt and three beer tokens. Every hour on the hour, the group will hop from one bar to the next, each featuring a different brewery, eight bars in all.
RGRS – Girlpool, Dripping Wet, The Single Issues – 9 P.M.
Girlpool headlines this show to close out your weekend. Be prepared for a high-energy event, definitely worth the beer spilled while you dance your face off. Cover is $8, so you’ll have enough to pick up some merch while you get the chance.
