It’s North Texas Beer Week! Several events around town will be going on throughout the week, each featuring a local brewery. East Side is one of the main venues for the week, hosting Firewheel, Four Corners, 903 Revolver, and Martin House Breweries.

Monday November 9
OSDH&CP – GOAL Pint Night – 6 P.M.
Interested in supporting local at-risk children? Like drinking beer? OSDH is hosting this event for GOAL to get out the word of all the good works being done. Come out and take home a specially created pint glass just for this event.
Tuesday November 10
Harvest House – New Belgium Bike Ride – 6 P.M.
Bikes. Beers. Brilliant! Bring your bike out to Velo Republic and cycle your way to special tappings by New Belgium. Cross the finish line at Harvest House and be rewarded with special drafts: Le Terroir, Hop Stout, NBB Loves Oscar, and their new Ben & Jerry’s Salted Caramel Brownie Brown Stout. Cheers!
Wednesday November 11
RGRS – Florist, Hello Shark, New Science Projects – 9 P.M.
You’ll definitely not want to miss this show. Florist headlines on their tour with Hello Shark, bringing their pseudo-acoustic, part synth ambient sounds. Opening is Denton’s own New Science Projects. $1 gets you in.
OSDH – Lakewood Brewing Company Pint Night – 7 P.M.
As the third installment of NTX Beer Week, Lakewood Brewing Company will be featuring some of their famed brews and maybe a few you haven’t heard about. Hang out with the brewers with your pint, and when you go you get to keep the glass. As with most NTX Beer Week events, there’s no cover to get in.
Thursday November 12
RGRS – Unmarked Graves, The Southpaw Preachers, Hen and the Cocks – 9 P.M.
Metal and rock come together for a night of dancing, thrashing, and, most likely, drinking. You’re in for a treat with Denton’s Hen and the Cocks, a super fun live performance, followed by the upbeat tunes of The Southpaw Preachers. Headlining is Unmarked Graves, a metal show you won’t want to miss.
Dan’s Silverleaf – An Evening with Peter Case – 8 P.M.
Beautifully melodic, Peter Case will woo you with his smooth folk sounds. He’s been in the music scene for quite some time with a long list of discography that spans decades and genres. Come out, sit back, and enjoy a drink while you coast through your night. You can purchase your tickets in advance for $10.
Friday November 13
GDAC – Opening Reception and Members Mixer – When the Well is Dry, We Know the Worth – 5:30 P.M.
Tonight, Greater Denton Arts Center is hosting a mixer for their new exhibition by artist Neal Paustian. The exhibit focuses on water, transforming steel and glass into remarkable works. Happy Hour drinks start at 5:30 followed by an artist talk at 7.
The Labb – Garrett Phelps’ Birthday Bash Show – 6 P.M.
Come celebrate Garrett Phelps’ and Maggie Messer’s birthday with this six band lineup. Maggie’s making the list, followed by several of their friends on stage. STARPARTY finishes up the show; no better way to celebrate than with a dance party. FREE for 21 and up.
Harvest House – Cory Patrick Coleman, Skagg Philips, and Friday Mean – 7 P.M.
Denton’s own takes the stage tonight, a lineup of blended folk and Americana. For $2, you get some of Denton’s finest on one of the town’s finest stages. CPC and Skagg Philips have recently added more sounds to their performances and it’s a can’t-miss experience. This event is the kickoff of the 10th Annual Harvest Festival.
J&J’s Pizza – Art & Music Show – 7 P.M.
Art shows in Denton are something quite special. You’ll almost always find a great show in tandem with amazing local arts. Four bands will be performing, including Danny Diamonds and Fishboy, as well as several artists from around town. You get to catch it all for only $5.
Denton Community Theater – The Rocky Horror Picture Show – Various Showings
Damnit Janet! After over two decades, Dr. Frankenfurter and cast still goes strong. This is a stage performance you absolutely can’t miss—especially because there are seven showings. Come dressed up and be a part of the spectacle. Get your tickets in advance at buy.ticketstothecity.com.
Saturday November 14
Braindead Brewery – Mashin Monday (Saturday) Denton Ride – 8 A.M.
If you’re not too hungover from your Friday debauchery, drive down to Dallas for a refreshing bike ride back to Denton. The trail is about 50 miles, so it’s not for the weary. Bring snacks and water to stay in tip top shape. Once in Denton, hang out with the Mashin Monday crew before they head back to Dallas.
LSA Burger Co. – Hares on the LSA Burger – 7 P.M.
What pairs better with a burger than hyper-energetic traditional folk songs? Okay, beer, too. If you’ve been around town for a while, you’ve probably already heard about Hares on the Mountain. Their free happy hour shows at Dan’s are always quite sensational. This Saturday, they’re bringing their show to one of Denton’s greatest burger joints.
Audacity Brew House – Bet the House BBQ Trailer Grand Opening – 12 P.M.
Fill up your souls and your bellies at Audacity Brew House this Saturday. You know the food truck game in Denton has increased quite a bit the past couple years and we’re excited to see a new BBQ truck in the Austin Street Truck Yard.
Macaroni Island – Last Mac Island Show – 7 P.M.
After three years of shows, the house is closing down. To celebrate all the house shows of times gone by, Two Knights, Bukkake Moms, New Science Projects, Anger House, and Dust Congress will be singing out the last hurrahs. 2311 Houston Pl.
Casa de Fun Button – ABACABA, Dead Mockingbirds, Harriman Exit, and Goldenjoy – 9 P.M.
Always fun times at CDFB and this show is no exception. From the looks of the lineup, it’s going to be a night filled with dancey, upbeat music as well as chill, bands traveling from Wyoming as well as local acts. For of-age attendees, it’s a BYOB event.
Cloud 9 Charities – Saturday Night Fever with LeFreak – 6 P.M.
Shake your groove thing for good with Cloud 9 Charities. There’ll be a cash bar, dinner, and disco dancing tips. Come dressed up and enter the costume party, too. LeFreak will take the mic and blast out those Saturday Night Fever jams. Be prepared for a lot of dancing.
Sunday November 15
Brick Haus Collective – Lost & Found: Mappathon Exhibition – 6 P.M.
Hosted by UNT New Media, UNT Sculpture, and CHiKA, this exploration in the concepts of “lost” and “found” in several mediums. A great way to open your mind and experience something beyond your perspective.
