Dan’s Silverleaf – Cozy Hawks, Shadows of Jets, Friday Mean – 9 p.m.
Friday Mean opens up this show — headed by Spiderweb Salon’s Conor Wallace. Cozy Hawks always puts on a good show, so we’re pretty ramped up for this one. It’s a big night of celebration for local Denton music, so don’t miss it. Get yer tickets at for five bucks.

Friday December 11

Denton Downtown Square – Denton Santa Rampage! – 6:30 p.m.
Santa’s coming to town, y’all and it’s about to get crazy. Don your Santa gear and meet the other Santa’s for the pre-gaming potluck. You’ll need the nourishment for the walking you’ll be doing. It’s all fun and games, but all for a good cause. Burners Without Borders is collecting nonperishable food items for the Denton Community Food Center, so bring your generous heart. Just a tip from us: Bring cash!

Harvest House – Skinny Cooks – 8 p.m.
This duo from Dallas is about to bring it, kids. Their sound? Think funk, think psych-jam, think a little R&B — the kinda music you want to dance REAL close to. Get in for $2, but make sure you get in early. Shows at Harvest House tend to book really fast.

RGRS – #FuckSchoolFriday – 9 p.m.
It’s the end of yet another semester, you little brainiacs. Time to celebrate those As and Bs with a serious flip off. Nine of DFW’s hottest hip-hop acts are coming together for a seriously outrageous show. Wild Bill headlines and he’s buying shots for the first 100 people that walk through the door. All it takes is $4 to get in.

Saturday December 12

Rabbit Hole Brewery – First Anniversary of our First Anniversary – 11 a.m.
This brewery out of Justin is celebrating their second year of brewing with their It’s A #HoleNewYear party. There are a lot of reasons to go: 12 beers on tap (not to mention specialty ones that you’ll never get otherwise), commemorative pint glass, barbecue, music, and other drinks provided by brewers all over. VIP tickets have already sold out, but early bird tickets are still available for purchase.

Denton Downtown Square – Denton Rugby Ugly Christmas Crawl – 6 p.m.

Hailey’s Club – The End of ’80s Night – 8 p.m.
Hailey’s closes its doors and with it closes the legendary event that is ’80s night. Since it opening over 10 years ago, they’ve hosted this all-ages dance party event and we at 35 Denton are certainly going to miss it. DJ Yeahdef will be spinning ’80s hits all night for the last time, so come out and raise a glass to good memories. Per usual, it’s FREE.

Trees Dallas – DDFW Master of the Mic Finale – 7 p.m.
Come out to Trees, in Deep Ellum, to watch local hip-hop artists compete to become the Master of the Mic. Two of our own Dentonites have made it to the final round, so let’s show up and represent.
