Tuesday December 29
Mulberry St. Cantina – Raised Right Men – 9 p.m.
One of Denton’s favorite cover bands hits the stage yet again for a night of two-steppin’ and drinkin’. They’re gonna play your favorite country hits from the ’60s through the early ’90s. Their shows are always a good time and per usual, this one’s FREE.
Hailey’s Club – The REAL Last ’90s Night – 9 p.m.
So many of us in Denton have amazing memories of ’90s nights past. Come out and celebrate the very very very last night while you regale all the good times and dance like no one is watching. DJ Questionmark will be spinning and the drink specials will be insanely low.
Thursday December 31
Wine Squared – 1940s New Year’s Eve Bash – 7:30 p.m.
There’s no better time to act and dress up super fancy than for the always anticipated midnight kiss on New Year’s. Perhaps this year you’ll find that special someone at Wine Squared’s super sweet bash. They’ll be serving a three course meal and, obvs, there’s gonna be Champagne. The event ends at 9:30, but if you miss the dinner you can still come and ring in the new year when it’s over.
Dan’s Silverleaf – Mr. Molly, Starparty – 9 p.m.
Ever been to a New Year’s Eve wedding? Make it to Dan’s by 11 and you’ll get to. Starparty’s Gary Barnstar and his lovely lady Natalie are getting hitched. Here’s the agenda: Mr. Molly opens, then the wedding ceremony, then Starparty rocks you into the new year. Want to go? $10 gets you in.
Hailey’s Club – NYE/Goodbye Hailey’s Party – 9 p.m.
We all have fond memories of Hailey’s, but all good things must come to an end. However, another adage is, one end leads to anew beginning. Say your last goodbyes to Hailey’s and to 2015 with Fab Deuce and DJ Spinn and cheers to new beginnings and unfulfilled resolutions.
The Abbey Underground – Countdown Underground/NYE 2015 – 10 p.m.
Want to party hard this NYE, but short on funds? The Abbey’s event is FREE and Champagne is only 2 bucks–there will also be $3 shot specials. Come out, get hammered and have Autumn’s Amber, The Velvet Army and Soul Patrol rock your face off.
Friday January 1
Dan’s Silverleaf – Pinebox Serenade EP Release, Kody Jackson, Daniel Markham & Claire Morales – 8 p.m.
We’ve been following Pinebox Serenade for quite some time now and we’re stoked for the new EP to come out. They’ll be sharing the stage tonight with two Denton acts who absolutely should not be missed. And since this show is FREE, you can spend that hard-earned money on some merch.
Saturday January 2
Dan’s Silverleaf – Spiderweb Salon’s New Year Formal 2016 – 7 p.m.
For their third year in a row, Spiderweb Salon is hosting their noted New Year’s formal, this year with musical guests Friday Mean and Bird Meets Winter (rumor has it, these guys are working on new album). The evening will be filled with poetry, storytelling, some performance, and obviously, music. A $5 cover not only gets you in, but also gets you a free zine with pieces by Spiderweb Salon’s creative geniuses. We’re really looking forward to this one.
