All Over Lil’ D | 35 Denton Music Festival | March 11 – 13
Before we talk about any other events happening this week let’s talk about the killer lineup, all the great vendors and venues participating, and the many folks making the trip to Denton this weekend for our super, awesome, best fest ever! If you haven’t purchased your entry to the fest yet, there is still time. WE CAN’T WAIT TO FEST WITH YOU!
Wednesday, March 9th
The Abbey Underground | G Phelps Presents: Wednesday Night Song Swap | 10 p.m.
The song swap is back at a new locations and time. Every other Wednesday, venture to the Abbey Underground for a night of music you won’t soon forget. Each week there will be two sets of three performers sharing songs in a roundtable. The first set of the night starts at 10 p.m. with Chris Veon, Mr. Troll and Greg Zimmerman and the second set — starting at midnight — features Joe Stack, Jeff Stack and Patrick Hamilton. This is a free event, but a $1 donation is suggested to support the artist involved. 21+.
Thursday, March 10
Harvest House | 1 Year Anniversary with Brent Best, Raised Right Men, and FREE TACOS | 6 p.m.
Harvest House is having a birthday and we’re all invited! Limited anniversary T-shirts will be available for $15, they will tapping some awesome exclusive kegs for the night, and the first 250 friends will get FREE TACOS from Coup de Taco. Brent Best and Raised Right Men will round out the musical bill for the night. Start your 35 Denton weekend off right!
Saturday, March 12
Serve Denton | Denton Mobile Pantry | 9 a.m – 11 a.m.
We know getting up early on a Saturday, especially the Saturday of 35 Denton, isn’t ideal — but it’s for a great cause so set your alarms, pack up any produce and shelf-stable food that you can share with the Denton community and head over to Serve Denton. After you drop off donations get some breakfast tacos and fest away with joy in your heart knowing that your karma tank is full.
Pink Cactus House | Off 35 Showcase at Pink Cactus Denton | 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Pink Cactus House is showing off some sweet local tunes between the 35 Denton festivities. This event is free, BYOB and features six great acts from all around DFW. Check out the full lineup and details online.
SCRAP Denton | Crochet 101 | 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Beginners adult workshop presented by Sierra Maynard. Build basic stitches and start a project of your very own. If time permits, Sierra will also cover how to read patterns. Grab a friend and some fun yarn then head over to SCRAP for an afternoon of crafting.
The Bearded Monk | Noble Rey Can Release Party | 7 p.m.
Noble Rey Brewing Co. has finally released some awesome new cans full of delicious beer! The Bearded Monk will have cans of the newest releases featuring Steampunk Steam Lager, Golden Rey Bavarian Wit, Off The Leash Red Ale and Baracus Brown Ale. Hang out with brewery owner Chris Rigoulat and enjoy some great artwork and beer.
Sunday, March 13
OSDH | 4 Year Anniversary Party | 2 p.m.
Join Oak St. as they celebrate their 4th anniversary. Party starts at 2 p.m. and will go all night. There will be special tappings, glasses, merch and food! $15 gets you an anniversary T-shirt, 3 tacos from Flatlanders and a mason jar glass to take home. East Side Denton | March “Arts & Craft Beer” Backyard Market Eastside | 2 p.m. – 6 p.m.
Celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Backyard Market at Eastside. Family- and pet-friendly event. Check out local handmade and vintage goods including handbags, artwork, jewelry, dog treats, clothes and much more. Enjoy a craft beer or cocktail while shopping and have a leisurely paced afternoon of great shopping and drinks at Eastside.
